When you are creative and innovative you engage a blend of learning behaviours.
You …
- identify / accept a problem that you wish to solve
- explore a range of possible, imaginative ways of proceeding
- decide on a course of action
- respond with flexibility
- do the hard work of turning a creative idea into an innovative outcome.
The activities, think pieces and questions in this online unit aim to help you to make a start on:
- introducing students to the key behaviours of creative, innovative learners;
- using the language of creativity and innovation effectively with students;
- designing the use of creative, innovative learning behaviours into the way you teach;
- developing the confidence and skill in helping students to grow their creativity and innovation skills.
The following sections will help you to tailor your classroom practice to support the development of these dispositions.
