7 big questions
This module explores 7 big questions about how classrooms can help students to develop and grow positive learning behaviours that can sustain them for a lifetime of learning.
The 7 questions are:
1 What’s the distinction between learning more, learning better and becoming a better learner?
2 What are the important Behaviours of successful learners and which are the most important to start on?
3 What small yet profound shifts in teaching methodology will make students’ learning more conscious and articulate?
4 How can teachers explicitly surface and deepen successful learning habits in students?
5 What fast-track tactics will hasten students’ grasp of the meaning of some learning habits. What routine will guide and direct thinking?
6 How through gradual and relentless exposure to ‘stretching’ learning opportunities, do young peoples’ learning habits progress?
7 With all this in mind how do classrooms and teaching need to change? What can we each do? What can we collectively do?
